Elton John, Sting & More Perform at Rainforest Fund Benefit

Thursday - April 12th, 2012

Founders Sting and Trudie Styler started Rainforest Foundation International in 1989.   It was founded after they saw first hand the destruction of the Amazon rainforests and the devastating ways it impacted the lives of the people who live there.

Today, the group provides grants to three autonomous rainforest organizations - Rainforest Foundation US, Rainforest Foundation Norway, Rainforest Foundation UK, as well as others.

The Rainforest Benefit concert held every year, is just one of the ways money is raised.  This years lineup for the benefit concert included Sting, Elton John, James Taylor, Meryl Streep, Katherine McPhee, Bryn Terfel Vince Gill and a number of other surprise guests.

Perfomers taking action to help save the planet and prevent further harm to rainforests and indigenous people who live there...brilliant!
